Passage: Matthew 5:13-16
We begin this new year reflecting on what shapes, motivates, and defines us as the body of Christ at the corner of 30th and Howard. What occupies our passions, our longings, our thoughts and emotions? Whether we are young or old, students or retired, grandparents or single, we all have a place in God’s family. In the household of faith we learn how to speak truth to one another in love. Our imaginations are inspired. Our relationships deepen and mature. We learn how the gospel impacts every aspect of our lives. We want our friends and neighbors to know that it is the love of Christ that holds us together and calls us into mission.
